Launched in May 2019, Venus is an innovative home décor, gifting, and lifestyle brand providing the best quality products with unique ideas. Inimitable class. Fearless and never boring. No kitsch. With this article of faith, they try to bring one timeless collection at a time. The brand realized that Indian households were becoming increasingly house proud and looking for ways to decorate their homes in a style and modern ways keeping eco-friendliness and sustainability in mind. At the same time, they also felt that there is a find for luxury products at affordable prices. This led to capitalizing on that void and Venus was born.

Purpose

At Venus Home Decor, our purpose is to create beautiful, meaningful spaces—while empowering the hands that make them. We exist to celebrate heritage textile crafts, support women artisans in Northeast India, and offer ethically handcrafted home decor that transforms houses into soulful homes. Through thoughtful design and fair collaboration, we aim to preserve traditional techniques, promote sustainable living, and provide dignified livelihoods to artisan communities. Our work is rooted in the belief that home should reflect both personal style and shared values—a place where culture, craft, and conscience live in harmony.

People

At the heart of Venus Home Decor are the women artisans of Northeast India—keepers of generations-old textile traditions. We partner with small, women-led clusters across the region, providing fair wages, skill development, and consistent livelihood opportunities. These artisans specialize in techniques such as backstrap weaving, natural dyeing, hand embroidery, and loom weaving—crafts that are often at risk of being lost. Through our collaborations, we help preserve these cultural traditions while opening new markets and creative opportunities for the women who carry them forward.

At Venus Home Decor, we believe that true beauty doesn’t come at the cost of the planet. That’s why sustainability is woven into everything we do from materials to methods to packaging. We prioritize natural, biodegradable, and responsibly sourced materials, such as:

By working with artisans who use traditional, low-impact techniques like hand weaving and manual dyeing, we avoid the carbon emissions and resource waste common in industrial textile production. Our products are crafted slowly and intentionally—supporting the principles of slow design and encouraging customers to buy less, but better. Packaging is kept minimal, recyclable, and plastic-free whenever possible, and we continue to explore ways to reduce our footprint at every step of our supply chain. Through conscious choices, Venus Home Decor aims to create a ripple effect offering beautiful products that respect both people and the planet.
