Miharu is a social venture which makes handmade brass jewelry and handloom silk dupattas from dying crafts of Bengal. The goal is to give everyone the opportunity to wear impact- an aesthetically pleasing product that does good and is connected to our roots.The jewelry created is a combination of various ancient crafts like the Dokra work, Patwa craft, and wire wrap. The products are the perfect accessories for any outing, meeting, or a casual party.
Purpose
By rethinking classics into contemporary designs that give dying crafts a new life, the Miharu collection uses these ancient crafts in a way that appeals to the modern-day clientele yet remains true to its roots. The focus is on sustainably sourcing quality jewelry from scrap brass and empowering the hands who bring these ideas to life.

Artisans
Miharu is working with Dokra families of 8 artisans in various districts of Bankura. Dumka and Burdwan.
Women
A group of 10 women in two clusters in the suburbs of Durgapur is doing the Patwa work and wire work to complete the jewelry.
Planet
Dokra craft uses Recycled brass. All the brass wires that are cut while making wire jewelry are recycled to make dokra products.
