Flourish was started with a simple purpose: to be a driving force of conscious consumption, making socially and environmentally sustainable products from around the world available to everyone. Our values are at the center of everything that we do, to ensure that everyone in the supply chain from creator to consumer is celebrated and informed. By bringing together craft stories, honest value and positive impact, everything here comes with a mark of goodness, and the hope that we can create a world where we can all flourish.
Who We Are
Flourish Planet was started with a simple purpose: to enable artisans who make environmentally sustainable products build secure livelihoods. We do this by establishing online retail marketplaces around the world and make available curated artisanal products to socially and environmentally conscious consumers. Artisans’ livelihoods and environmental impact are at the center of everything we do. We have engineered our entire business system - legal structure, sources of funding, selection of and contracting with sellers, and operational processes - to focus on our values.
Our History
Flourish Planet was originally launched in India in 2020, where it has now grown into a platform where over 4000 curated products from over 130 artisan groups find eager buyers. Flourish Planet launched its US marketplace in 2022, where products made by artisans from Asia, South America and the United States are available to North American consumers. Over time, we plan to grow our network of marketplaces to bring customers a truly global experience.
Company Structure
The US marketplace of Flourish Planet is operated by Flourish Planet Social Benefit Corporation, a Delaware registered public benefit corporation. Flourish Planet is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Million Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity whose mission is to help develop sustainable livelihoods for artisans. This legal structure ensures that all profits made by the marketplace are used for initiatives that directly and solely benefit artisans.
