People
A part of their mission is to employ unskilled women and train them to finish garments, hand embroider and add handmade embellishments. They have a small team of 7 such women who are trained in hand finishing and handmade embellishments. At the workshop where the products are produced – there are 5-7 Zardosi artisans who work on jewelry and about 7 women who help in hand finishing and hand embroidery as well. There are about 20 tailors including 1 female tailor, 12-14 men in the team, comprising of pattern master, production master, assistants, ironing and washing and quality controllers. There are 16-18 women working in the finishing, quality control checking, and packing departments.
Planet
Each of their products is created keeping in mind its impact on the earth. Fabrics that are used are mostly handloom and hand spun the traditional way. From textiles that are mass produced, they consciously choose those that are from natural sources and are biodegradable. They create products out of leather and fabric that would otherwise be discarded. They use cloth bags to package the merchandise. The handles of the bags are made from left over scraps from each collection.
