Handmade by female artisans in Indonesia, BrunnaCo's style juxtaposes Bali’s natural-relaxed style and California’s casual-beach feel. It's the true reflection of Balinese life: appreciating the harmony between ourselves, our environment, and other living beings. Made from select plant-based and certified eco-friendly materials; they dedicate each piece to preserving Mother Nature.
Purpose
BrunnaCo’s objective has always been to create meaningful pieces using thoughtful environmentally-conscious materials that leave a minimum impact on the environment, as well as to share the stories of their artisans in Indonesia. They commit to making it possible for their female artisans to work from the comfort of their own home to pursue their dream whilst playing an important role as a mother and housewives. This is their way of empowering their female artisans in the country where most women end their working life once their family life begins.
People
Extending their commitment to their community, BrunnaCo continuously works in a collaborative system with local artisan communities in Bali, Java, and Borneo. They love how they can support their people by also allowing them to educate the next generation about the importance of their cultural heritage and expanding the opportunity to be an independent community. BrunnaCo strives to continuously reach out to add more artisans throughout Indonesia to join their communities and create more beautiful pieces together & making it possible to achieve better living.
Planet
BrunnaCo is deeply rooted in Balinese culture and tradition. For Balinese people, nature is the source of life. Nature nurtures us, therefore it’s paramount for us to treat it respectfully. They believe that nature is something mystical that evokes peacefulness and establishes balance in life. Based on this belief, every design & creating process starts with admiration towards natural resources, the idea of preserving, and giving back to the environment. Only selected vegan materials are considered into their creative process; natural straws, bamboo, upcycled, recycled, and deadstock materials.
