At Aya Paper Co. they believe in celebrating Black joy, always. Their collection of greeting cards and gifts uses modern, artistic, and culturally relevant designs that reflect the lives and sentiments of their community. In addition to their core collection of greeting cards, Aya offers journals, calendars, pens, candles, and tote bags for a complete gifting experience!
All of their items are produced locally in the US with recycled paper, and plastic-free because they believe being good to people and good to Earth go hand in hand.
Purpose
When Founder and Creative Director SaVonne Anderson began conceptualizing plans for Aya, the well-being of the earth was at the front of mind. As an advocate for environmental justice, she wanted to ensure that Aya Paper Co. didn’t perpetuate issues like climate change and pollution, which disproportionately impact communities of color.
People
They believe that being good to people and being good to the planet go hand in hand. That's why they give back to their local community (and their customers) through material resources, education, and advocacy.
Planet
Their priority is to responsibly use and protect the earth and its resources throughout our operations. Some of their practices include plastic free packaging, carbon-offset shipping, and local manufacturing. All paper used in their products is made from 100% recycled content, FSC® Certified and Green-e Certified, manufactured with 100% renewable green energy, and processed without chlorine.
