The original recycled tire sandal since 2009. Indosole creates their signature sole using reclaimed materials crafting durable, waterproof and responsible sandals. Sandals that are made for everyday life, everyone, and every occasion.

Purpose

Indosole's mission is to inspire people to live a more fulfilled and conscious life with every step. They strive to achieve this by not only creating a stylish sandal, but also by spreading a message and setting a new standard for brands to take action and show responsibility. For these reasons, they like to collaborate with other brands that share similar values and up lift them, share the stories of people who inspire their mission, and find new innovative ways to recuse different discarded materials.

People

Tires and sneaker soles are the primary materials for crafting Indosole's signature 'soles with souls.' When thinking of tire waste, it's crucial not to overlook the communities directly affected. Tire waste accumulates in stockyards, illegal dumping sites, and even rivers. In tropical countries, tires become breeding grounds for mosquitoes, contributing to diseases like malaria and dengue fever. Moreover, in developing nations, tires are used as a low-cost fuel alternative, often resulting in toxic emissions when they catch fire during lightning storms. Indosole is committed to raising awareness and actively removing as many used tires from the streets as possible.

Planet

It is impossible to turn a blind eye to the environmental impact of old tires and disregarded sneakers leave on our planet. Due to their structural composition, they resist decomposition, with tires taking thousands of years to break down. Technically, the first tire ever made is still out there somewhere along with the other 1.5 billion tires that are discarded every year. Their innovative solution involves pulverizing these materials into a fine powder, which is then used to create a 60% recycled sole. This approach not only reduces landfill waste, but also extends the life of these materials.
